The Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have held talks aimed at elevating bilateral cooperation in the field of digital education and inclusion to a new stage.

During the meeting, priority areas were identified, including the development of digital education, the establishment of IT training centers in remote regions, and the provision of talented youth with modern ICT equipment to enhance access to technology-driven learning.

Particular attention was given to the development of a framework for joint initiatives to be implemented through grant financing under the Japanese government’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) program. These initiatives are expected to support digital inclusion and contribute to sustainable development objectives in Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the agreed cooperation, the parties outlined plans to establish a Japanese digital center in Uzbekistan, expand the coverage of young people with in-demand digital skills, and ensure access to advanced technologies across regions.

The partnership is expected to play a key role in reducing the digital divide, promoting equal access to national opportunities, and strengthening the country’s human capital in the digital economy.
